Joey Paco Tooth Fairy

In my last blog, I told you about my most unusual garden visitor, the green-red woodpecker, Mr. Picus Viridis  If you haven’t read it, click here. Today I have a special guest, the Tooth Fairy.

“Thanks for inviting me, Joey. I enjoyed reading the messages from your readers. Some of their stories were very funny. Now let me answer their questions.”

Glenda (Puerto Rico) - 6 yrs old

Dear Tooth Fairy: 1) What do you do with all the teeth you collect from so many kids around the world? 2)How did you become a Tooth Fairy? Thanks, Glenda

Dear Glenda: Those are great questions. I use the collected teeth to lighten the castle. Joey wrote a blog about it. You can read it here. However, Joey doesn’t know what I do with them after they lose their power. It’s very simple: I use them to repair things around the castle. Your second question is clever. You don’t become a Tooth Fairy. There are many types of fairies and each one of us has special talents and responsibilities. We, Tooth Fairies, are responsible for collecting teeth from all the children around the world. I tell you what, stay tuned for a future article with more information.

Matthew (Canada) 8 yrs old.

Dear Tooth Fairy: 1) Is there only one Tooth Fairy like Santa or lots of Tooth Fairies? 2) Can I have more money? I hope so, hehehe. Thanks, Matthew

Dear Matthew: Excellent questions! There are many Tooth Fairies and all of us look different. We also live in different places. For example: I live in a castle way above the sky. Joey wrote a blog about it. You can read it here. Hmm, can you get more money? I will have to check the balance of my account at the Fairies Bank. I also need permission from your parents. Please tell your parents to contact me using this Contact Form.

Owin (USA) 7 yrs old

Dear Tooth Fairy: How do you look like? Thanks, Owin

Dear Owin: Great question. I have dark skin and long black hair with some colorful highlights. I don’t have wings like other fairies. Instead, I move around using my Praconama flying-hovering wheelchair. It stands for practical, convenient, and amazing. Joey wrote a blog about me. You can see a picture of me and read his blog here

Peter (Germany) 5 yrs old

Dear Tooth Fairy: Mom read to me Joey’s book. I enjoyed it very much. My favorite place was the Garden of Treasures. Wow, so many drawers full of money! Then I started thinking, maybe is possible… Can I exchange my teeth for money? Thanks, Peter

Dear Peter: Yes, you can exchange your tooth for money. But first I need your parents’ permission. Please tell them to contact me using this Contact Form.

Javi (USA) 7 yrs old

Dear Tooth Fairy: Today Mom took me to the dentist for my regular check-up. On our drive back home, I started thinking: “Does my dentist tell you about my teeth?” Then I looked at my brand-new toothbrush and wondered: Do you have a favorite toothbrush?” Thanks, Javi

Dear Javi: Your message got me laughing. Nobody has asked me that before. Great questions. You don’t have to worry about your dentist. He doesn’t need to tell me because I know it all. Remember, I am the Tooth Fairy (wink). Yes, I do have a favorite toothbrush, my Fairy Toothbrush. It helps me to keep my teeth clean and shine. Hmm, maybe I should write a blog about it. What do you think?

Lisa (Australia) 6 yrs old

Dear Tooth Fairy: Today I helped Mom pick fruits from the garden to make a marmalade. Uff, so much work. Then I was curious: what do you do all day? Thanks, Lisa

Dear Lisa: Great question. I am very busy all the time. Keeping my castle tidy is important. Need to be sure the teeth lightbulbs are ok. Joey wrote a blog about it. You can read it here. I also check that the toys, treats, and Rainbow bonbon machines in the Garden of Treasures are working properly. However, one of the most important tasks is to look at the World-Dotted Map. In this room my frog Vitric lets me know when a child loses a tooth. The most exciting part is to deliver the gifts while traveling with the Shooting Star Express!

Josef (Germany) 8 yrs old

Dear Tooth Fairy: Dad read to me Joey’s book at bedtime. It was great. Maybe one day I can also visit you. You looked very young in the pictures. I fell asleep wondering if fairies get old and grow up like us. Tooth Fairy, can I ask you: 1) How old are you? and 2) Are you an angel?  Thanks, Josef

Dear Josef: You are a curious boy, who asks awesome questions. Nobody has asked me that before. I am as old as the time. I and all the other fairies were created many years ago at the Creator’s castle. He is wise and creative. No, I am not an angel. Angels are different. However, I have pure magical powers. These powers are limited. For example: I can’t create another fairy. Only the Creator can do that. However, I can do other things like: traveling with the Shooting Star Express across the sky, moving fast between the kid's bedrooms, creating my secret recipe Rainbow Bonbons, etc.

Eva (Mexico) 10 yrs old

Dear Tooth Fairy: I am 10 yrs old and have not lost a tooth yet! Mom took me to the dentist. He said to us: “Some kids develop faster than others. Don’t worry, Eva, you have shy teeth. Very soon they will be popping out like popcorn.” He smiled and winked. I looked at him puzzled. Shy teeth? Mom said: “Write a letter to the Tooth Fairy and ask her: 1) What are shy teeth? 2) How much longer before I lose a tooth? Thanks, Eva.

Dear Eva: You don’t need to worry or be ashamed about it. I will explain to you why. There are two types of teeth. I am sure you didn’t know that. The adventurous teeth come out on time. They get bored inside the gums and want to see the world. These teeth want attention and will tickle your cheeks until you smile. The shy teeth need extra time to come out. Those “late teeth” are encouraged by the others to come out and join them. It might be a little painful. Be brave! Kids like you receive a special gift from me. You can read more about these teeth here.

“Thanks, Tooth Fairy, for answering all the letters from my readers.”

“Thanks to them for writing. Wait a minute, Joey. That’s the late teether song! Great news: A later toother just lost a tooth! Maybe, Eva. Special celebration at the castle! See you soon.”

My next blog will be in German. I will tell you about my encounter with the Easter Bunny!

Remember to brush your teeth and keep them clean for the Tooth Fairy.
